The Butcher Shop Steakhouse: Reviews & Ratings
I recently visited The Butcher Shop Steakhouse and had a very enjoyable experience. The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was attentive and professional. The steaks were prepared well and clearly reflect the restaurant’s commitment to quality. One area where I believe there is an opportunity for improvement is the sides menu. While the current options are well-prepared, the selection feels somewhat limited in variety. Expanding the sides to include items such as baked beans, macaroni and cheese, green beans, or even a classic spaghetti option could offer guests more variety and complement the steakhouse menu even further. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for its food and atmosphere. I hope to see an expanded sides selection in the future to make an already great dining experience even better.
We celebrated on new year's eve, I reccomend getting a reservation in advance. Dress is semi fancy. Lovely quiet atmosphere, service was amazing and food came pretty quick. The menu had lots of yummy options but tbh I wish they offered thinner or smaller sizes of steak entrees. I reccomend the filet mignon (yes it's very pricey) but it was more tender and flavorful than the new York strip. The meat was seasoned decently well but the loaded potato was lacking in flavor and toppings. It was fun to try a nice restaurant for a celebration and atmosphere but I wouldn't come again food wise. The dinstuhls cheesecake was rich and had a delicious flavor also when you walk in you can see the grill where they cook your meat so that was cool to see
The Valentine's dinner special offered here was an AMAZING VALUE!! my wife and I were able to enjoy a generous glass of wine( there were other great drink choices as well) our choice of appetizer, steak or lobster entree( there were several options of cuts none under 10 oz) and a choice of 2desserts for $150.00. We were both delighted with the portion and taste of our cajun shrimp appetizer and our steaks were cooked perfectly to our request, very juicy and incredibly flavorful. They could have charged more or offered less but instead The Butcher Shop did a fantastic job offering a fine dining evening out for a tired mom and dad the night before Valentine's Day. Bravo.
While slightly on the expensive side at about $200, The Butcher Shop was a nice Monday night out for me and my husband. We had an appetizer, main, and dessert, no alcohol. I loved the atmosphere and the Cajun Pasta was fantastic. We showed up at 5pm (opening time) without a reservation and they sat us right away and there was plenty of parking available. Joe was a great server, very attentive and accommodating. Overall, great date night and we will be coming here again.
Went there for a family special occasion, My daughters "Sweet 16" birthday dinner and had not been there in awhile. We ordered the appetizers of: 5 Cheese Spinach Artichoke Dip with tortilla chips and also the Sizzling Sauteed Mushrooms In seasoned butter & wine.. These were good. The manager, whom I assumed was wearing a green shirt walked by and asked how we were doing while eating the appetizers, then left. We ordered 14 oz NY Strip steak ($46) well done. (small steak in photo) We also ordered a 20 oz Ribeye steak ($57) medium well and a 30 oz Porter House steak ($62) medium well, we also were both having the "loaded" twice baked potato. The NY Strip steak was dry and bland. It was cooked SO OVER well that it had NO flavor or any texture. L00K at how black it is in the photo. My wife could not cut it and ended up taking it home for the dog. The Ribeye steak and Porterhouse steak were also OVERCOOKED. The Ribeye was like sawing wood, it did have some pink to it but very tough. The Porterhouse was a mixture of WELL DONE on one side of the bone and medium rare on the other side. Tough on one side and tender YET not cooked all the way on the other side. The "loaded" twice baked potatoes were both NOT hot, not even warm as per the photo, the grated cheese didn't even melt on them. Either they needed to stay in the microwave longer or the salamander for the cheese to melt. I told our waiter about the potatoes being cold and the steaks not cooked properly when he returned to check on us. He stated he had told his manager and that the manager was going to come see us. By the time I paid the check OVER $270, no manager had come to see us or ask about our meal. Just did NOT care.....smh As we left, the manager was standing at the main entrance talking to a couple, he looked and nodded at us and continued his conversation with the couple at the front never attempting to stop us or ask us about our meal. I chose NOT to make a scene about this due to the fact it was a special family occasion. I am at a loss as to how it has gone down so low like this, either by the cooking staff or the quality of the meats they serve. I had wanted to go to Fleming's Prime Steakhouse OR Stoney River Steakhouse but my daughter chose this location. Sad to say, I will NOT be returning and will NOT be recommending this establishment to anyone. The service and wait staff was great, it is just the quality of the meal you are served that is NOT worth you having to experience. Buyer beware,,, save your money and temper for a better place to dine and share special occasions at.
Had dinner to celebrate anniversary. Greeted as soon as we walked in by friendly gentlemen, hostess was kind and welcoming as well. We had 6pm reservation, we arrived early and were seated with no problem. Our server, Jamie, was absolutely AMAZING! She was professional, very friendly, had a GREAT sense of humor and was on point with service! The food was great! Appetizers, cocktails, and entrees were all good! First visit, but definitely not our last!!
